Newsom’s CA is Harris’ America

Kamala Harris is trying to moderate and obfuscate her message in this campaign, realizing that being honest about her radical views, as she did in her 2020 campaign, was a losing strategy.  She answers questions poorly, by referring to her past instead, using circular logic and her particular brand of word salad.  Even interviewers have had issues with her.  When she actually takes a stand, which is rare, it is simply to say something Trump already said, such as dropping taxes on tips. If you analyze what she’s said, it would be hard to formulate what she will do.

Barack Obama was similarly vague, touting “hope and change” instead of workable approaches to solving our real-world problems.  But Harris doesn’t actually have a theme.  Unless you believe a theme is “I’m a black woman and we should have one of those in office.”  To understand what she will do, first look at what she did as VP.  Most of us know the VP role is typically small, but the ones who have ambition take whatever they are given and run it well, showing competence and ability.  Look at Pence and Covid – he did his best to manage it, given Fauci’s incompetence and lies.  Second, look at what she said when she ran in 2020; she hasn’t changed.

Look to California

There is a reason that candidates from CA rarely win national elections.  People can evaluate what it’s like to live there and decide they want no part of it.  A state that formerly was attractive due to its climate, geography and offerings no longer has much appeal; it isn’t Reagan’s California.  Harris will bring ALL the bad ideas in CA to the country; I doubt we can survive that.

First, let’s look at Harris’ top issue – abortion.  We may all have different opinions on this, but the majority across the country favor limited access, generally considering 15 weeks to be a reasonable limit.  In all-blue California, a law was passed to allow abortions till birth, presumably forcing doctors to kill a living baby.  The state also will help support people who come to CA just to have an abortion when they can’t in their own state. 

Health care is another issue.  She loves illegals—she wants them to get free access to health care, including Medicare, which is almost broke now.  Keep in mind, while most of us paid into the system for years, illegals did not.  This is a benefit only for citizens and only if you contributed.  She also wants socialized medicine.  Check next Thursday, when I’ll talk about what it’s really like and how much you will hate it.  We’re lucky to have access to what we need; those under socialized medicine may wait years…or simply die waiting.  People were shocked by the VA medical system scandals a few years back; this is worse.

Taxes.  Want to keep your money?  Harris has made so many promises and backed so many bills that we as a nation can’t afford.  Just like Newsom, she plans to raise taxes. And don’t believe her lies; it won’t just be on the rich, because a. even if the rich gave us all their income, it wouldn’t be enough and b. she owes rich people a lot.  They won’t take the hit.  She’ll also get the Fed to print more money, making our money less valuable.

In CA, we are facing Proposition 5, which would gut our property-tax-protecting Proposition 13.   This is the kind of sneaky behavior you can expect of Harris.  The proposition lowers the threshold for passing bond measures from 2/3 to 55%, which ensures the large number of people who can’t do math and/or are on the taking side of things will push more expensive bonds.  We’ve worked hard to protect taxpayers where we can; the Left wants to take all our hard-earned money.

Immigration.  We already know how she feels.  She was a border czar for 4 years and all we got was a torrential flood, a tsunami of immigrants.  Legal is great; we have a lot to offer, so should be able to pick the people we want here.  By offering them everything, and now, most of the rights of citizenship including her desire to have them vote, more will come flooding in, demanding housing and other benefits.  Cut off the benefits, use eVerify for everything and they will stop coming and many will leave.  But she won’t do that.

Green New Deal – She’s fully in support of it, just like Newsom.  She will have more and more mandates until you have no choice about anything.  Electric will be the only power, and other countries will risk their lives and despoil the environment digging up the rare metals to make batteries and wind turbines.  Wonderful!  You’ll buy what she wants you to buy and ultimately, only wealthy and connected people will fly in airplanes. And the nation will go broke trying to fix what we can’t fix. Is this the world you want?

Your Constitutional rights.  Fuggedaboutit!  You will only express the views she believes and won’t have a way to defend yourself.  At the same time, her lax ideas regarding criminal enforcement will make you ever more vulnerable, unless you live in a gated community with armed guards.  Best bet – prepare to kill intruders and plant them.  Otherwise, you’re the criminal.  The 4^th A will go too – your house will be invaded to look for things you aren’t supposed to have.  Bye, bye Constitution.  It’s in her way.

Harris is a showboat, carefully crafted and Botoxed to appeal to people who vote for pretty people, or want to virtue-signal by voting for the Black person.  Trump isn’t pretty and he can be crude.  But he gets things done, the right things.  He won’t bankrupt you, tell you how to live or destroy the Constitution.

People need to know who Harris is.  Share this with anyone you think is persuadable.  Ignore Trump’s personal flaws.  He tells you what he’s going to do and how he’s going to do it, then turns around and gets it done.  We need this now, if we are going to turn the country around.
