For years, Democrats have counted on the votes of minorities, poor people and women, trusting that their views on affirmative action, welfare and abortion will guarantee ongoing support. The progressive wing seems to have forgotten about what got them into power, instead, trampling on the values that made them popular. Instead, Dems appear to be the party of wealth, entitlement and the not-so “smart people in the room.” The arrogance was shown a few years back when Hillary’s campaign was all about her right to be elected rather than the value she promised to her voters.
Recently, many Democrats have been reregistering as Republicans and likely, many more will select “independent,” but no longer represent a reliable vote. Some of the ways they have abandoned their voters are as follows:
1. Betraying the working poor
a. Opening borders to unskilled people seeking economic benefits and at times, taking jobs at lower-than-market rates.
b. Pushing new criminal justice reform and DAs who agree with them, which translates into more crime, particularly where poor people live, work and shop.
c. Trying to gut gun rights and making personal protection less affordable, which particularly impacts the poor. At the same time, wealthy politicians delight in their expensive, private security.
d. Encouraging crime by failing to prosecute BLM and Antifa criminals, while wasting time on January 6th, which caused very little damage and harm only to the protestors.
e. Forcing communities to have high minimum wages, which locks teens and young adults out from their first jobs and valuable job experience. This may mean they never break out of welfare or that they try out crime instead. ******
f. Creating administrative nightmares for both those who try to build housing and landlords, making affordable housing only a dream. Regulations preventing eviction and allowing long-term non-payment of rent makes even the kindest landlord skeptical of continuing to offer housing.
g. Creating such generous welfare programs that people may not make enough money working, instead of subsidizing low-paying jobs to help bridge that gap.
h. Closing down pipelines, cancelling permits, and otherwise destroying the energy industry results in people struggling to pay to heat their house and buy gas to get to work. Poor people can’t buy $30K Priuses. No, Joe, Nancy, Chuck, AOC – they cannot. The subsidies are only for the rich.
2. Destroying the futures of minority voters (including some of the above in 1.)
a. Subsidizing universities with loans and handouts so that the cost becomes unaffordable for many and the loans impossible to repay except for those who go into law, medicine or IT.
b. Making welfare options so attractive that people become trapped into generational dependence. In most programs, women are encouraged to kick the baby’s father out to get more funding. Welfare should be short-term, with ample support to get off the “gravy train.”
c. Long term and over-generous unemployment, which still keeps lower-paid workers from returning, even as employers are desperate to hire.
d. Dividing races with CRT and anti-racism training, which makes people less likely to work together and become part of a shared community.
e. General victimology rhetoric, which makes people try to find ways to feel “less-than” rather than to enjoy the many talents and abilities we all have. Being a victim is a choice.
f. Cutting too many breaks to criminal minorities, which encourages a life of crime, rather than scaring kids straight.
g. Lax drug laws which lead more people to try and become dependent on illegal drugs.
3. Destroying the family
a. By pushing a myth that women should use abortions as birth control, not value relationships and when having a child, not need anything but the state to support them, fewer women are having children, getting married or building family relations.
b. Preferring to kill babies rather than murderers. Abortion is a necessary evil, but oddly, while an innocent baby can be killed in some states up to the hour of birth (and sometimes a bit after), no criminal, no matter how foul his crimes, nor how often he has committed them, should be killed.
c. Hyper-sexualization and Gender Affirmation for Children – Kids need a clear understanding of biology, including sex, but they do not need it in grammar school. And when kids go through puberty, hormones make everyone irritable and frustrated. Some psychotherapy might be helpful, but it’s a phase that most will get over. However, changing your sex might permanently affect your life. Only adults should be able to make those choices.
d. Cutting parents out of the loop in school situations. Covid brought this to light. Parents now see what passes for education in public schools and they are outraged. Instead of “reading, writing and arithmetic,” kids are focused on politically charged material. Secretly, teachers are pushing transgenderism. Parents should be closely involved in education AND should have the sole authority to promote values.
There’s plenty more to say, but this is a start to why I believe the Dems are going to lose big in November, UNLESS they can find a way to increase the voting fraud demonstrated in 2020.
Well written and spot on. Should consider a video log, although, we realize what that might lead too.
