We don’t know who is running our country—it isn’t Biden—but whoever is in charge is not wasting a minute in trying to further implement the kind of policies that helped lose Harris the election. With the press covering the plans Trump has conceived over the past four years, not enough attention is going to the disastrous mistakes the Biden administration is implementing.
Bailing Out Iran
It was bad enough when Biden gave $6BB in ransom to Iran in exchange for five hostages. Days after the election, Biden waived sanctions on Iran, giving them access to upwards of $10BB in once-frozen funds for 120 days. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated, “It is in the national security interest of the United States to waive mandatory economic sanctions that bar Iraq from transferring the money to Iran in electricity import payments.” Ostensibly for medical care, food and other relief, there are actually no strings on this money. Thus, while Iran continually helps terrorists attack Israel, as well as attacking the country themselves. How much damage can they do with that money?
Biden-Harris also relaxed any sanctions against oil exports. Biden has waived the sanctions repeatedly over his term. In fact, sanctions relief was signed off just a month after the Hamas terrorists attacked Israel on October 7th. Iran imported nearly 1.4 MM barrels of oil per day in October this year, which is 80% more than they were able to do under the 1st Trump administration. This has brought Iran between $32BB and $35BB to spend on efforts against American interests. Don’t forget that Harris claimed to be in on every decision and supportive of “Biden’s” initiatives. They both knew that Iran is funding Hamas, the Houthis, and Iraq and Syrian forces.
The Hunter Biden Pardon
Even as Trump has said he has no plans to go after political enemies (the Bidens), someone thought Hunter deserved a blanket waiver for all his crimes. I get it. Hunter threatened the family with a “big reveal” so they had to shut him up. The pardon is also particularly broad, covering all "offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in" from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 1, 2024, beyond the gun and tax charges. While we know the President has absolute control over pardons, in general, they are for convicted crimes, not ones that weren’t charged or admitted. This shows absolute ignorance of why Harris lost the election. The Dems are too busy blaming various people for the loss to look at the “whys” of it. And taking the opportunity to further screw the pooch, these acts that will not be forgotten by those who already wondered if the pretense of caring for “the people” was a mirage.
FEMA Funding
Despite the awful track record of FEMA responding to disasters, leaving those in North Carolina largely forced to rely on the help of neighbors and other charitable organization, Biden has asked Congress for $100BB for FEMA to help them out. While it is critical to help Americans in natural disasters, he has already spent our country into the poor house. He’s also asking for emergency funding for more than a dozen other agencies to support health services, housing, transportation and infrastructure, among other areas. It might be reasonable, if he took the money from the other BS projects he has pushed, but he is trying to spend all that anyway. I can imagine him saying, “It’s not my money anyway.” He’s drunk on power.
The Infrastructure Law
His $1TT infrastructure law and $375BB climate law are likely to be shrunk or eliminated under Trump, so the officials are trying to figure out how to get the money and spend it now. Buttigieg, a man who knows nothing about transportation, would like to throw $3.4BB in grants for rail service, ports (not to fix the union problem), reduce highway deaths (without any clear idea of how to make that happen) and support manufacturing, so we don’t have to buy things from other countries. (The awful French BART cars we are stuck with in the Bay Area come to mind.)
Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh told reporters this week that Biden wants to “spend down the authority that Congress has allocated and authorized before he leaves office. So, we’re going to work very hard to make sure that happens.”
Student Loan Forgiveness
Yes, he’s not done with this unconstitutional chestnut, despite the fact that all those who paid off their college and those who could never afford to college will be taxed to give “relief” to all those kids who’ve now become indoctrinated with ESG, DEI, the poor, suffering Hamas fighters, etc.
The Education Department has been hurrying to finalize a new federal rule that would cancel student loans for people who face financial hardship, however they would determine that. The proposal — one of Biden’s only student loan plans that hasn’t been halted by federal courts — is in a public comment period scheduled to end Dec. 2, but is likely to be challenged. I’m not sure why he keeps pushing this – the Dems no longer need to win an election from votes from those affected.
More on the Docket
To keep it simple, I haven’t included all the massive spending planned by the lame duck Biden administration. I do get that there are some hard-Lefties like AOC who want this stuff, but in my opinion, if you believe in it, you should put your own money forward. Stop asking American taxpayers to pay for your wish-list. We aren’t Santa Claus and your behavior this year, Joe and Kamala, should net you a stocking full of, not coal—too un-PC), but perhaps only those old-time suckers no one wants and some habanero candies.
And they are going out of their way to Trump-proof, as I’ve heard it called, the things this election showed the American people don’t want. DJT is going to have his work cut out to undo all the damage.
