It’s As Bad as You Think

The FBI recently (and quietly) released an updated report on crime in 2022.  Instead of showing a 2.1% drop in violent crime, we actually had a 4.5% increase—thousands more murders, rapes, robberies and aggravated assaults.  In their history, the FBI has only ever made tiny changes to their reports after the fact.

You have likely noticed the problem in your community, ever since the Biden administration took over.  I’ve heard stories of people being afraid to venture out at night, ride public transit at any time of the day, and even witnessing violence in places they formerly felt safe.  Shockingly, I just heard about a fight at our premiere 55+ community where political issues escalated to violence.  But the real problem is with the tolerance for criminal behavior. Even those who are “just shoplifting” too often threaten or harm anyone they believe is getting in their way.

The Coalition for Law, Order and Safety published a report in April of this year showing data from more than 70 of the largest police departments indicating violent crime is substantially higher in major cities compared to 2019.  Even 2020, ignoring the BLM riots, wasn’t as bad as it is now.  It’s even worse, it is reported, because there is significant undercounting of certain crimes based on changes in policy in various Blue cities and states.  In some places, a given crime is recorded as a lesser one, again, to make the numbers look better.

I was startled to hear that in NYC, a place that during Giuliani’s day was a lot safer, police officers are given incentives to low-ball the numbers.  The goal is to make the liberal policies look like they are working, when they clearly are not.  Because of this, fewer crime victims report what has happened to them.  What’s the point if nothing is done about it?  Many Blue cities are no longer submitting crime data to the FBI, further making the stats look better.

The Political Factor

When a party creates policies and laws that work, they rarely have to promote what they’ve done. We all see it.  Reagan and Trump made us wealthier and happier; we didn’t need ads or manipulated statistics to tell us what we already knew.

But when a party screws up, refuses to admit it and makes life worse for all of us, they have to find a way to convince us that their policies ARE good.  In March, 2024, a Gallup poll found that 80% of Americans personally worry about being a victim of crime.  It’s right up there with inflation as a source of concern.

The Democrats Did It

You can look to various specific examples, but just look on NextDoor and ask your neighbors.  In my area, NextDoor frequently deletes crime reports even as people protest.  This is data we all need to be safer and we need to know about it.  Sure, it may upset people.  But we have a serious problem and our leaders need to fix it.  But the Democrats won’t.  A lot of crime has come as the populations of illegals have soared.  There are various reasons.  1.  Illegals commit crimes as they know they won’t be punished.  2.  Citizens commit crimes when illegals take their jobs, or when they believe that the government won’t do anything to them.

The biggest victims are those living in poorer parts of cities, where the homeless and illegals congregate.  They can’t protect themselves, and in Blue cities, we all risk our freedom if we try to protect ourselves against violence by shooting the criminal.  In my opinion, every criminal should be afraid for their life; we need the right to protect ourselves, up to and including lethal force.  After all, none of these creeps fear the law or hesitate to hurt us.  Crime would immediately plummet if crooks knew they might be shot when they attempted anything.

Want a Better Life?

Stop voting for Democrats.  They will continue to empower criminals given that they have protection for themselves.  The Left seeks only to get stupid and criminal people to vote for them, as they no longer care about voting integrity. They’ll do anything to encourage, even, as Kamala has urged, to let all illegals vote.

They’re NOT on your side.  The Left doesn’t care about your health, welfare, safety, security or freedom.  I don’t know how it happened. But this party simply needs to be abolished.  Let the Right fight with Libertarians – both parties wish for the best for the majority of us.  They may get some things wrong, but they’re far likelier to correct their mistakes.  The Left will not.
