We need to look deeply into Hamas to help people understand who the real enemy is.
Who is Hamas?
Originally, many Palestinians were loyal to Arafat’s PLO, but some felt their policies had failed; they formed Hamas. Members are both nationalists and Safists, which mean they are strict followers of Islam. What they do is supported and undergirded by the Quran. Their goal is a Palestinian state, but it is clear that the bounds of that extend farther than any offer that has been made. “From the river to the sea” clearly means taking over all of Israel in creating their nation, a point most protestors don’t understand.
Unlike most terrorist groups, Hamas also sees political negotiation as a strategy, along with violence. As such, they were able to stand for office and somehow, convince residents to vote for them. As usual, grandiose promises made by politicians get votes, even if the likelihood of obtaining those results is extremely low. Their ability to play politics has resulted in many countries taking them off the terrorist list, which allowed countries to freeze their assets and take other punitive measures. October 7th clearly showed that this was a global mistake.
It is interesting that the international community didn’t recognize the 2006 election where Hamas “won.” Al Fatah still rules in the West Bank and Hamas controls Gaza. Even as Hamas accepted the Palestinian National Authority as the governing party beginning in 2017, their influence dominates the conversation.
The most critical thing to realize is that like most Muslims, they believe that all Jews must be exterminated, which means the end of Israel. This is why negotiations make no sense, as their goal is unachievable. Oddly, this makes them equivalent (or worse) to Nazis, a fact that student protestors ignore.
What Does Islam Say?
For women supporting Hamas, they are celebrating a fate for women far worse than any existing in our country. Women’s’ movements have brought us to equality (and in some cases, a superior position) to men. Islam takes women back to the dark ages where they are chattel property with few rights. Your word or signature means nothing, you can’t drive, your husband can beat you and take additional wives. Education? Only enough to be able to please your husband. If you think the “Handmaid’s Tale” represented Christian values, read the book. Islam doubles down on all those things. Look it up – you can’t make up stuff like this.
For gays, similarly successful in gaining equality and recognition of their rights in the civilized countries, get ready. Islamists will have you killed. Your love isn’t recognized by the Quran. For those espousing one of the wide varieties of new sexual identities, you will also be rounded up and slaughtered. Even as many Muslims leave their country to act out in ways their religion detests, you will not be spared.
Truth on the Ground
Apparently, our college students (and the paid protestors funded by Soros) have blinders on when they weep for Palestinians.
1. Nothing the IDF has done comes even close to the atrocities of October 7th, or any other terrorist act. In fact, prior to bombing, the IDF sends out warnings of their plans to protect civilians, where possible. Who does that?
2. Hamas laughs at its worldwide support, knowing that only ignorance can bring their cause forward.
3. Hunger and disease in Gaza are the fault of Hamas, not the IDF or the world. Guess who isn’t suffering? Hamas fighters. They don’t care about the people of Gaza. In fact, making victims of their own people helps their cause with the ignorant, who rail at Israel for not helping them.
4. When you put arms and troops under schools, hospitals, churches, etc., they are going to get bombed.
5. If Palestinians are such victims, why have Arab countries traditionally and currently refused to take them in?
6. If Israel is defeated, the working Palestinians will be destitute, as they count on good jobs in Israel. Don’t expect that Hamas has the intelligence or ability to take over the successful businesses there.
7. What Hamas did in October will be replicated as they see fit. Once, we were a country that deplored what Nazis did to the many people they persecuted (Jews, the handicapped, the Rom, gays, etc.) Perhaps the apparent tolerance of the inhuman acts of the CCP has made this seem normal, acceptable to these Lefty idiots.
As it is clear that our taxpayer-supported universities have failed to educate our young in any meaningful way, all support coming from our money should cease immediately. We could use more tradespeople, if these students can even manage that. What we don’t need is a bunch of entitled brats to move into the world demanding $30/hour pay for work machines will do for free.
And while I don’t support making laws—we have too many already, social opprobrium should rein down on antisemitic words and deeds. Read the quote below. If any people aren’t safe, none of us are. #antisemitism #from-the-river-to-the-sea
Some of the young people have no values on a “human scale” because they have been indoctrinated and are simply ignorant, or lack the ability to reason on social issues. We have government-funded primary and secondary education to thank for that. The professors are increasingly a product of that same system.
We must get Federal and State governments out of education. The poor have better options as well, and should not be used as an excuse to continue the nightmare that we call “public education.”
Watched an interview with a couple protesters on YouTube and they didn’t know what “river” or what “sea” was even being referenced. And, as you mentioned, a woman who supports Hamas must have a death wish or be suicidal. The ignorance of this movement is mesmerizing.
