Some of the young people have no values on a “human scale” because they have been indoctrinated and are simply ignorant, or lack the ability to reason on social issues. We have government-funded primary and secondary education to thank for that. The professors are increasingly a product of that same system.
We must get Federal and State governments out of education. The poor have better options as well, and should not be used as an excuse to continue the nightmare that we call “public education.”
Great points. The movement towards parental educational grants (instead of giving the $ to public schools) is a great start. The awareness of the pathetic nature of our schools was one of the few gifts of Covid and lockdowns.
Absolutely. And with AZ leading the way, states are increasingly looking to give parents choice. There is also a university in TX that is going back to basics. I've heard that enrollment in CA has dropped a lot in K-12, which is good. Too much bad policy, not enough learning.
Hillsdale College has established non-religious Classical Education K-12 schools across the country. They have one, and will soon have two in my area. Tuition free!
Watched an interview with a couple protesters on YouTube and they didn’t know what “river” or what “sea” was even being referenced. And, as you mentioned, a woman who supports Hamas must have a death wish or be suicidal. The ignorance of this movement is mesmerizing.
Any protests I witnessed while in Berkeley were similarly filled with people who had no reason to be there other than to try to fit into something they didn't understand. It's pathetic. They will vote this way. I wish they could be suddenly transported to Johnny Arab land to see what it's like. Maybe that would get them to wake up. Instead of being "woke."

Getting to my point, there needs to be more awareness of non-governmental education opportunities. Not only Hillsdale
