Other times its consequences are outrageously egregious and the impact can be significant. How did we allow ourselves to get so this point where ideology overshadows truth? ☹️
I actually don't know. It just happened, long before we got so politically correct as we are now. It's antithetical to what science is. But I suspect the biggest factor is that those who don't conform to the "new way of looking at science" get cancelled. You lose your job, your license, your funding. Not fair!
